Sony recently launched the PXW-Z300 4K 60P XDCAM camera, designed for professionals in the field of coverage and documentary. This rugged camera is equipped with rich interfaces and practical functions to fully meet the needs of the target user group. The model is expected to be available in the fall of 2025.

The PXW-Z300 is equipped with a 17x optical zoom lens with a focal length range of 30.3mm to 515mm. In 4K mode, the focal length can be extended to 772.5mm with a 1.5x digital zoom. The aperture of this lens is constant at f/1.9. It is equipped with an electronically variable ND filter in front of the lens. It supports 1/4 to 1/128 ND adjustment. It is especially suitable for large aperture shooting in direct sunlight. Through the prism system, the light is directed to three 1/2 inch 4K Exmor R CMOS sensors, effectively avoiding the artifact problems that may occur when using Bayer filters in single-chip cameras.
